Care and respect for our environment
What can we do to help the animals of our continent?
Prohibit hunting of animals
The legal status of animals in Latin America is essentially no different from that in other places, such as Europe. Animals are still legally considered mere objects of law or things. Despite this, in recent years there have been numerous changes of some significance in the legislation of Latin American countries, due to public demands that nonhuman animals be given greater consideration, which shows that the social scenario is changing.
Avoiding forest deforestation
Forests are home to the biodiversity that lives in them. The felling of trees is wreaking havoc on animal species. In fact, many of them do not survive. Others, on the other hand, have to migrate to environments or habitats that are not their natural habitat. In the Latin American region, forests occupy 46.4% of the total area. Between 1990 and 2015, 96.9 million hectares were deforested, a major risk to the survival of animals.
Avoid contamination of natural resources.
Nature is the most important source of resources in the animal world. Thus, the protection of natural environments becomes essential to create a more livable and sustainable world. It is our task to reduce our negative impact on the environment, either by not littering in natural areas or anywhere in general, avoid consuming products that have slow degradation or its production is highly polluting. Our contribution is extremely important.Let's save the animals!
Make donations. When you visit accredited zoos and local nature preserves, pay the recommended entrance fee. Your donations help maintain these vital conservation areas.
